While you’re here, let me tell you a little bit about myself.
The real me:
I am a mountain loving Colorado girl, transplanted to the wooded beauty of South Carolina for the love of a wonderful man. My husband and I have been married for five amazing years, and God has given us two precious little blessings. Through the Lord’s goodness and my husband’s support, I have been able to be a stay home wife and mother.
By God’s grace, I was saved when I was eight years old. My parents decided to try a new church for our annual Christmas attendance that year. Who knew how drastically that choice would change our lives?! With that one decision, the Lord repaired my parents’ marriage and brought our entire family to Him.
Fast forward several years and God took this shy, introverted young woman far outside of my comfort zone. I was a homebody, yet God lead me to a college FAR from home. While I was there, I learned so much about public performance; studying God’s Word; and most importantly, depending on Him.
I met the man I was going to marry while I was at college. Jared David. But the journey wasn’t easy. God used our journey to prove two very important things to me.
First, God is in control.
Second, He Does answer prayer.
And now this wonderful man is mine, and every time I put on my ring, I remember the great God I serve. (Maybe I’ll tell you that story some day.)
In the years since our marriage, God has given us two new family members. Two energetic, curious, cuddly, frustrating, adorable little people. Alexis and Logan.
I am so blessed. I get to spend my days taking care of these two! It has been quite a learning experience for all of us. 🙂 Alexis, Logan and I love to read, watch My Little Pony and Baby Signing Time, bake in the kitchen, play and cuddle! When they give me a few moments of peace, I get to read my Bible, catch up on my writing, and maybe try to get some sleep.
Aside from our family, we are also blessed to be a part of a wonderful church family. My husband is a bi-vocational pastor, so church planning and functions keep us equally blessed and challenged. To all our family at Maranatha, may I just say how much we love you!
Now that you know me, I invite you to join me on this journey, this Excellent Way that God is leading me down! 🙂
